when i was a kid: episode 02 flawless victory

my very first video game console was a original sega genisis ominious consone seeing how the atari was really the alpha of gaming consoles but i didn't care. it was mine i had t share it with my dad though for you see he was a child at heart and really like it. So some nights if i was good after i was put to bed he would wake me up at like one in the morning just to play mortal combat. we would dule it out to see who would get to play story mode. and he would inevitably win. that is till i discovered sub zero one fait ful night i destroyed him no simple feat but once i mastered the freezing move it was elementary from there. i even rember the first time i beat the game with the afromentioned sub zero character. i then became determined to beat the game with every single character for the sole purpose of learning their back stories.

one faitful day after school i run home to see if i can beat the game with scorpion befor dinner. and i had saved scorpion for last, because i thought he was the coolest. i skiped through te first two fights nonschlauntley till i got to goro who admiditly was hard to beat his other two arms reallly did mess you up. i eventuall y lost one of my lives but because i was soo good and came back with two flawless victories. then something terrible happened. the screen froze on scorpion standing next to the defeated corpse of goro with the words flawles victory across the screen and nothing was moving. i tried all of the usual remidies shaking pressing select start. then i had no choice i had to remov ethe cartridge in the event of i would loose the game but i didn;t really care it was easy enough fo rme to beat the first time i figured why not.

i pulled the cartridge blew put it back in turned it on.....nothing not even the start menue. at this point i had realize dwhat had happened. i had out played my sega. at which point i scream Nooooooooooooooo. ....like darth vader at the end of starwars episode 3 i yelled like the hero lost his dog when it saves his life. i was destroyed.
