The 4th Annual Norwich Sci-Fi convention was the venue for a showdown between Dr Who fans and Star Wars fans. It has been widely reported from such bastions of hard news at The Guardian and the BBC, to IMBd (who knewJoss, Actual. Joss Whedon joins Twitter and apparently the world keeps spinning.
It's over five years since I started this blog. Why did I start it? Because of Joss Whedon. Factual. The first post I made here is titled "numfar, do the dance of shame......" and if that doesn't mean anything to you, then you're probably in the wrong place. Joss introduced me to Felicia. And Felicia introduced me to so many amazing and wonderful people that the past five years have beenWeekend Movies - No reviews, just reaction. Harold and Maude.
Hey, it's 2013! And this blog is still here! A lot has happened in the five years since I first started here, and my reasons for doing it have faded over time. So many new distractions, and not all of them Social Media apps. Recently, though, we've had time to actually sit down and watch a few movies. Felicia Day four years ago, on my laptop. Fugit! It's been Four Years! It's hard to believe, but it's been four years since I stopped freaking out long enough to interview Felicia Day. Back then she had just managed to negotiate a ground-breaking deal with Xbox after sticking to her guns over ownership of her work, and Season 2 of The Guild was just airing. - I've been following Felicia for a while (in a good way!) and I LOVE The Guild. I'm a big fan of Felicia's other work, too, and I'm still hoping to actually see her Improv, Being Human.
I also love Dr Horrible (another great Whedon-work). So much so that it inspired me to create a six-act webseries around the Evil League of Evil Application Processing Office. Seriously, go register at Marcher Lord Press. I know that the plane tickets are probably continental U.S., but the publisher should be able to work with the Canadian transportation system. You guys mainly use sleds pulled by wolves, right?

Great story, I bet...
The book is about the secret takeover of a small town by mysterious people brought in by a flood. It isn't completed yet, so there's not much more that I can say about it until my agent and publisher hammer out the contract and movie rights.
Which reminds me, I really need to get an agent and a publisher.
