When I first watched the Guild, it was because it was portraying the kind of people I knew on screen for the first time -- having been a former chat addict I knew the drill. But it had never been done with such self-awareness and style before. Felicia's writing was right on the money. And once I knew more about the people -- not just Felicia, but the whole cast and crew, I felt really at home with everybody. Since then, the unpredictable character development, awesome one-liners, and a "I'm at home" feeling I haven't had since Cheers was on way way back when, have kept me watching -- reinforced by the friendliness and "at home" feeling I have when I log into the Guild community chat to all my freinds' greetings. :)

Man, I checked my e-mail to find about 13 new messages, I think you have something going on here Kenny ;)

As for why I like The Guild, it's a bit difficult now. Before, it was just that I thought it was a witty, different, realisitc (to a point) take on the world of online gaming. They weren't (all) people who still lived in the basement of their mom's house, they were from different walks and different lives who met online.

Now, though, I like The Guild for the people, not just the actors and the on-set guys (even though I've yet to have a bad experience with any of them), but the people who watch The Guild, who make trips to Comic Con just to see The Guild, the Guildies. The Guild has managed to bring interesting people from different places, age groups, ethnicities, under a common interest, and personally, it's allowed me to meet people that I couldn't imagine not talking to on a daily basis.

Alan'd and Eva, don't you know Sean Becker has to use all his money to feed his Chick-Fill-A Addiction. You need to get him signed up to CFAA before expecting a return.who will manage that intervention I wonder!

With all the excitement of the contests, I realize that I forgot to really answer why I like The Guild. I get so easily distracted by shiney things. Reminds me of Dr. horrible comic episode 1 where Captain Hammer distracts Dr. Horrible by saying: "Look, an interesting bird.". Then out with the punch.

Like I said shiney things.

So to answer, two words: Hyena Laughter.

Something that I get afflicted with when I watch funny things like The Guild, Dr. horrible or Wil Wheaton singing and dancing toLady Gaga with Felicia Day.
