The Guild Secret Santa - Did you get your gift?

Hey Guildies! The Guild Secret Santa exchange is going on and Guildies are having a lot of fun giving each other presents for Christmas! Bryan Vu came up with this exchange and everyone is having a great time with it.It's so much fun to see what everyone else is getting plus a chance to say thanks! So I'll go first!

My gift was from Tibits aka Lydia from Germany who is not only a Guildie but also a fellow Dr Who fan and she got me an awesome USB TARDIS! I am proud of my geek gift! :)

She also said there was a part 2 coming from "Far Away". What a great present! Love to hear what everyone has received, including my Secret Santa person who should be getting theirs in the next few days!

Good idea about making a thread so people can show what they got.

I got mine the other day and it was from Lisa. She usually doesn't come into the chat that much but she does Twitter a lot. I am sure everyone knows who she is since she has been interviewed on KOTG about their The Guild cosplay outfits. Anyway, here is my picture of my process of opening the present.

Great idea for a thread, F!

I got mine a few nights ago, and it was from Eva. I didn't know what to expect for the Guild Secret Santa Exchange, but to be honest, I think I could not have gotten anything better. Ska is basically my favorite genre of music, and I'm always willing to listen to new bands and new music to expand my horizons, so to speak - and this present sure does that! The gift was the album "Ska Me Crazy", by the Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra. I had never heard of this group, but was pleasantly surprised. The music they play is pretty awesome, in my opinion. I've been listening to it on the drive to and from work for the past several days - it's the only thing that got the Dr. Horrible Soundtrack out of my CD player in my car!

I got lots and lots of candy. Twizzlers, skittles, jeally beans and more! AND a really gorgeous christmas stocking!
They also sent a very nice card with instructions and information regarding each item =P Since he/she apparently didn't know me very well I gotta say they did a heck of a job.

Now who was it? Come out, come out wherever you are =)

Mine came from Bryan! A handmade journal with a symbol from one of my very very favorite animes. I have quite the collection of journals and I have to say, in all complete honesty, this is definetly my favorite. I've already started writing in it. I can't thank you enough Bryan. BEST secret santa gift EVAR! XD

I missed the Secret Santa thing :( I guess that's what happens when you join... yesterday. Just wanted to say that I think it is/was a great idea, strengthening the community's bonds this way, and hope to be a part of something similar next year!

Now, I'll play pretend and receive and send gifts vicariously! Soon to be Merry Christmas everyone!

Awww, that's sweet. But I only have one friend and, quite frankly, I have no clue who this person is :P I don't mind, really. I'd like it better to receive a gift from a friend if I felt the friendship was more genuine than 'just the latest person to join watchtheguild' anyway. I like a natural progression of events and so should not receive gifts yet.

I do however accept tribute, offerings, sacrifices. That kind of a thing.

Secret Santa'd!
After the long wait, I opened up my Secret Santa gift (from Caiti B) and was surprised by a GREAT gift! Just about everything a guy could want. It showed up in the official 'Guild' delivery box. Inside were four items. First was the letter. Handmade and personal like all good letters should be. Second was the assemble yourself Stegasaurus. AWESOME!!!! (Will send pics when assembled) If you haven't noticed in the chat room - I LOVE dinosaurs!!! Third was a +3 Tray of Ice Cube Making. The +3 came from the fact that it ties in video games - Space Invaders to be exact! Novel idea. And finally, what may be the Secret Santa score of the season - a one of a kind, collector's Guild Ornament! SO AWESOME! One side was the Guild logo, the other was Guildies 2009. What a great idea! I feel lucky that Caiti picked me (instead of Pikachu!)
See the pics! And don't think about offering to buy any items. They won't be sold. Merry Christmas! Thank to Bryan for 'volunteering' to organize. And thanks again Caiti!
