What would you use for the corset base? I guess you could do a corset (though that would be more expensive., but the duct tape corset design should be easy enough. Get the gold lame and stitch over it, and you'll have more for the bracers as well.

I haven't really thought about it. I think I'm going to get the red fabric and quilt it, but I'm not really sure.

Hey! Don't know if you've decided what to use as the red bodice, but I am making a Codex costume too and found this waist cincher: http://www.fredericks.com/Hollywood_Dream_Waist_Cincher/56859,defau... Im just going to make the white piece with a thick piece of felt and line it with gold ribbon and decorate with gemstones...then just fasten it to the bodice with safety pins. :) Hope this helps.

Haha seems I'm not the only one who had this idea. I'm a red-haired cleric in the game I play so I figured it'd be appropriate for me. It's so nice of her to give you the full 360-degree view. I heard the chick who originally designed these costumes is now on Project Runway. Thank you for the tips! It's definitely going to take awhile... Anyways, good luck everybody! Once we all get these done, it'd be nice to see pictures of them.
