Watch The Guild

I hate when games are addictive. They can be horrible games, but you buy and play them anyway.

Not even mentioning DRM - the graphics were messed up before the patch, the saved creatures still do a weird Siamese twin thing in the Sporepedia, and the different stages are poorly glued together. It feels like they all went to separate rooms, each made a stage, and then they just slapped it together and called it good. Not even the controls are the same for each stage!

It's just ridiculous. And then Will Wright comes out and says himself that he dumbed down the game so he could make more money from the casual audience.

I just don't get it. I want to like him and the game. But I can't.

And where was all the beta testing? These issues should have been solved pre-ship.

yeah, i'm not buying it. i have the creature creator, and that's fun. and i might get Spore Creatures for my DS, but i was so wanting this to be a MMO really and truly. find new life and blow the hell out of it kind of thing. but maybe i'm just not right.
It wasn't as mindblowingly good as I had hoped but I find it a sweet little game, much entertainment. Sorry you couldn't get into it :/
Spore started okay, but now, at the end in the space stage, it really drags on... I admit I stopped playing wow for a few weeks, but now I loath to start Spore. I can't imagine leveling more than one 70 in spore (aka, killing all the grox). I might start a few alts though. hehe
